Smyk receives 2009 Auxiliarist of Year award
| Steve Smyk(r) is pictured with Commodore John B. Witemeyer (l) receiving the Division 12 Auxiliarist of the Year Award. The award was presented at the Change of Watch held on November 14, 2009 "for service in 2008-2009 in every area called upon, including District 5NR, Division 12, Division 12's Flotillas, the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as a whole, and components of the U. S. Coast Guard. He served as Fingerprint Technician (with over 200 men and women processed), AUX SARDET Bowers Beach Coordinator, Auxiliary Liaison for USCG Station Indian River Inlet, Flotilla Operations Officer, Division Operations Officer, as well as being boat crew qualified." |
